Los Angeles Mission Thoughts

Thoughts on Los Angeles Mission

Being physically located on Skid Row rather than administering programs from an office elsewhere in the city feels like it matters. It's a lot harder to lose sight of who you're serving when your building is in the middle of it every day.

Their emphasis on legal services stood out to me — unpaid tickets, old warrants, or missing ID can quietly keep someone stuck on the street long after shelter and food are no longer the main obstacle. It's a less visible kind of help, but often a necessary one.
