Union Rescue Mission Thoughts

Thoughts on Union Rescue Mission

What stands out about URM is the 135 years of continuous operation in the same city. That kind of longevity isn't an accident — it usually means an organization has had to adapt its model more than once to keep actually working, rather than just repeating what it did decades ago.

I also like that their impact reporting leads with housing outcomes, not just meals served. Meals are easy to count and easy to fund; getting 400 families into permanent housing in a year is the harder, more meaningful number, and it's the one they choose to lead with.
